In the winter of 1999, I worked on writing projects in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany, where I attended the Goethe Institut (a German language school) a year and a half earlier. I did not take German classes while I was there in the winter of 1999, but got some German practice on the streets and (occasionally) studying in on my own.

As I was busy working every day, I didn't have time to write in detail about the trip. Instead, I've attempted to document the trip with photographs of the people I meet and the places I went.
